Anti-corruption activists arrested this morning have been freed.
These were picked from Jinja road traffic lights as they circulated fliers to motorists, passengers and pedestrians.
Action aid Country director, Arthur Larock says that the two activists were set free after confirmation that the message on the fliers was not inciting.
Larock says that the Black Monday campaign has been a success with fliers circulated on Entebbe road, Acacia, Mulago, Wandegeya and Mengo roundabouts.
He says that their target is to now spread to other rural areas so that the fight against corruption is deep rooted at the grass root.
The black Monday campaign launched by civil society organizations is meant to pile pressure on government to take a tough stance on the corruption.
