'Womanless Wedding' to benefit Humane Society | Independent ...

HARRISBURG, N.C. ? The Humane Society of Concord is hosting its first annual Womanless Wedding Saturday at Hickory Ridge High School to raise money for services.

The event, starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, will feature male contestants from age 17 to 55 and older who will compete in four categories: evening gown, talent, Q&A and sportswear. They also will participate in a group dance routine.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the efforts of the Humane Society of Concord to pay for veterinary services, medication and spay/neuter costs.

Tickets can be purchased from any Humane Society location: Ruth's Memorial Shelter at 2010 Wilshire Court, Princeton's Meow at 29 Brookwood Court NE or the County Shelter on Hwy. 49.
