NBA scores: Joakim Noah's huge night leads Bulls to Friday victory

On Friday night Joakim Noah set career highs with both 30 points and 23 rebounds to lead the Bulls to a 108-104 victory in Detroit. The win moved the Bulls one game ahead of the Pacers and Bucks in the Central Division standings.

It was a record-setting night for Joakim Noah Friday, as the Bulls forward set career highs with 30 points and 23 rebounds in a 108-104 victory over the Pistons in Detroit. For the Bulls, it was their 16th straight win over Detroit.

And it came in large part because of Noah.

With star point guard Derrick Rose out for the early stages of the season, Noah has stepped up his game, and is a big reason the Bulls are currently 10-8 overall and in first place in the Central Division standings. He leads the Bulls with 10.8 rebounds per game and 2.2 blocks, to go along with 13.9 points per game as well. Noah was one of five starters who scored in double-figures for Chicago in Friday night's victory.

And with the win, Chicago now holds a one-game lead over both the Indiana Pacers (10-10) and Milwaukee Bucks (9-9) in the Central Division. Detroit fell to 6-15 with the loss, while Cleveland is now 4-16 on the season.

Chicago will next take the court Saturday night when it hosts the New York Knicks.

The Knicks come to Chicago with the best record in the Eastern Conference at 14-4 overall.
